Why some trades pay more for TradeStamp

No ads in front of your client

When you hand your phone to a client to show them the work, you don’t want an ad on the screen. TradeStamp has no ads. It doesn’t track you, and your photos are never uploaded.

A report that looks like your business

One tap makes a PDF with your logo, company name, phone and email at the top. Each photo shows its date, time, address and GPS, with a map link, your notes and its Before, During or After tag. Client sign-off lines go at the bottom. You can lay out 1, 2 or 4 photos per page.

Fingerprints anyone can check

Each photo gets a SHA-256 fingerprint the moment it’s taken. If even one pixel changes, the fingerprint changes. The report ends with a page that lists every fingerprint and shows how to check a file with tools already built into Windows and Mac. Your client or their insurer doesn’t need TradeStamp to check it.

When Timemark is the better pick

  • You want the lowest price, or a free plan.
  • You have a crew and want photos to sync to one shared space.
  • You need Excel, ZIP or KMZ (Google Earth) exports.
  • You want the time checked against the network, not just your phone’s clock.
  • You want the app in another language. Timemark lists English plus 20 more.

FAQ

Timemark vs TradeStamp: Questions

Does TradeStamp have ads?

No. TradeStamp has no ads, doesn’t track you and never uploads your photos.

Is Timemark cheaper than TradeStamp?

Yes. As of October 2026, Timemark’s App Store page lists Timemark Pro – Yearly at $10.00 and Unlimited Access – Monthly at $4.99, and the app has a free plan. TradeStamp is $59.99 a year or $9.99 a month.

Can someone check that a TradeStamp photo wasn’t edited?

Yes. Every photo gets a SHA-256 fingerprint when it’s taken. The PDF report lists the fingerprints and explains how to check an original photo file on Windows or Mac. Messaging apps often re-compress photos, so ask for the original file.

Does TradeStamp use network time like Timemark?

No. TradeStamp uses your phone’s clock and GPS at the moment you take the photo, so keep automatic date and time turned on. The stamp can’t be edited in the app afterwards.

Does TradeStamp work without signal?

Yes. GPS works offline. The street address needs a connection to look up. With no signal, photos are still stamped with the date, time and GPS.
