Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the TradeStamp app, made by Hamza Tahir, 5 Rue Marx Dormoy, 75018 Paris, France (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. On iPhone, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

The App

TradeStamp lets you take photos stamped with the date, time and location, organise them by job and create PDF reports. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own business or personal use.

Your Account

An account is optional. If you create one, keep access to your email, Google or Apple account safe, and use one account per person. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account.

Subscriptions

Some or all features need a TradeStamp Pro subscription. Prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings. If you cancel during a free trial, you won’t be charged.

Refunds

Because Apple and Google take the payment, refunds are requested from them under their policies:

If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep your legal rights, including any right of withdrawal, which Apple and Google handle for purchases made through their stores. If something isn’t working, email us first; we’re happy to help.

Your Photos and Data

Your photos, jobs and reports are stored on your device and belong to you. You are responsible for backing them up. If you delete the app or lose your phone, we can’t recover them. See the Privacy Policy.

Accuracy

Date, time and location come from your phone’s clock, GPS and address lookup service. They are usually accurate but can be wrong (for example with poor GPS signal or a wrong phone clock). The stamp can’t be edited inside TradeStamp, and each photo’s fingerprint (SHA-256) shows whether a photo file was changed after it was taken. The fingerprint can’t show that the phone’s clock or location was right in the first place. TradeStamp is a record-keeping tool; we don’t guarantee that its photos or reports will be accepted as evidence by any client, insurer, court or authority.

Acceptable Use

Don’t use TradeStamp to break the law, to invade someone’s privacy, to photograph people without the permission the law requires, or to make false records.

Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of France. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
