Free tool
Free photo timestamp (date, time & GPS)
Pick a job photo. We read the date, time and GPS the camera saved inside it, and stamp them on the picture. Free, no sign-up.
Stamp a photo
Good to know: a stamp added afterwards only shows what the photo file says. Anyone can edit a file before stamping it, so clients and insurers may not accept it as proof.
TradeStamp stamps the photo the moment you take it, files it under the job, and adds a SHA-256 fingerprint so anyone can check it’s the untouched original.
Questions
How it works
Where does the date and GPS come from?
Phones save the date, time and (if location is on) GPS inside every photo file, in what’s called EXIF data. This tool reads that data in your browser and writes it on the picture. If the file has no date, it uses the file’s own date and says so on the stamp.
Why is there no location on my stamp?
Some apps and websites remove location when you share or upload a photo. On iPhone, location is saved only if Location Services is on for the Camera. Pick the original photo from your camera roll for the best result.
Can I change the date?
No. The tool only stamps what the photo file already says. That keeps the stamp honest.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your device. The page has no upload, no account and no tracking.
What’s the difference with the TradeStamp app?
The app stamps date, time, street address and GPS the moment you take the photo, sorts photos by job, tags them Before / During / After and turns a job into a PDF report in one tap. Get it for iPhone.
